President Donald Trump has promised to “make America that are affordable again” by reducing the cost of energy during his joint speech in the congress on Tuesday evening.
Speaking in the American Capitol, Trump said that he “fought every day” to “reverse” the economic damage he blamed for his predecessor, former president Joe Biden.
“Joe Biden in particular left the price of eggs becoming uncontrollable,” said Trump. “The price of eggs is out of control, and we work hard to bring it back.”
“”A major objective of our struggle to defeat inflation is to quickly reduce the cost of energy, “continued the president.” The previous administration has reduced the number of new oil and gas leases by 95%, slowed down the construction of pipelines and closed more than 100 power plants. We are currently opening a lot of these power plants. “”

“We have more liquid gold under our feet than any nation on earth, by far,” said Trump. “And now I fully authorize the most talented team ever gathered to get it. This is called Drill, Baby, Exercise.”
The reduction in energy prices was one of Trump’s many campaign promises before being elected in November 2024. During a rally at State College, Pennsylvania, Trump swore to lift the American break On the export of American liquefied natural gas.

“From the first day of my new administration, I will end the Kamala Harris war against Pennsylvania Energy,” Trump told the crowd on October 26. “And we are going to smash, smash, smash.”
Trump also promised his supporters that their energy bills would be divided by two in his first 12 months in power. Before being confirmed, the energy secretary, Chris Wright, previously said that the reduction in the cost of energy was one of three of his main objectives in office.

“Federal policies are too easy to stop projects today and very difficult to start and carry out projects,” Wright said in January. “This makes energy more expensive and less reliable. President Trump is committed to reducing energy costs and doing so, we must prioritize the reduction of administrative formalities, allowing investments in the private sector and the construction of the infrastructure we need to make the energy more affordable for families and businesses.”
