Manchester City will face the Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup semi-finals of this season after Sunday’s return victory against Bournemouth in the last eight.
City dominated the ball but had difficulties overall as a first half, wasting several glorious occasions – including a missed penalty from Erling Haaland.
Bournemouth took the lead in the break through Evanilson, putting Justin Kluivert’s attempted goal, before a refreshing city did it in the second 45.
Haaland compensated for his previous failures immediately after the restart, set up by the part-time replacement Nico O’Reilly. The same player then created the decisive strike from his compatriot Sub Omar Marmoush, replacing the injured Haaland, just over an hour.
