Barcelona coach Hansi Flick expressed his frustration in the face of the arbitration of his defeat in the Champions League semi-final against Inter Milan following a second row classic in San Siro.
After retalling from 2-0 at home to shoot the 3-3 match, Barça sought to have won its place in the final in Munich when Raphinha pulled his 13th goal from the Champions League for the season to the house three minutes from the end of normal time to put the side of Flick in front 3-2 in the night.
The 21st minute opener of Lautaro Martinez and Hakan Calhanoglu’s penalty had previously given command, only for Eric Garcia and Dani Olmo to level the tie once again the precise final of Raphinha.
But Francesco Acerbi, 37 years old, provided an astonishing turn, forcing an additional time with his first European goal in the 93rd minute, before Davide Prattesi ended up establishing a meeting which equaled the record for the victory of 4-3 to the night of the two and a two-legged trafage.
Speaking later, Flick had only praise for his players, although he put dissatisfaction with the referee Szymon Marciniak.
“I am very disappointed that we are released – but I am not disappointed with the performance of my team. They tried everything,” said Flick.
“We have come out, but next year, we will start again and make our fans, the club and everyone around us happy.
“They [Inter] are a very good team, a strong team who defends himself well but they also have a very good attacker.
“In the second half, we were really good. I don’t want to talk about the referee but each decision of 50 to 50 was for them.
“We gave everything except at the end, it was like that and that is what made me a little sad.”

A particular assertion for Barça, whose hopes of a triple ended with the defeat in San Siro, was the penalty grants Inter Tardif in the first half.
