Harry Kane and Son-Heung Min are the most prolific duo in the Premier League, but it has been almost two years since they last teamed up at Tottenham.
The England captain left for Bayern Munich shortly after Ange Postecoglou arrived in north London, leaving Son to take on the captaincy and leadership role.
Their combined goal-scoring exploits are nothing short of legendary. In 2022, they surpassed Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba’s record for the most combined goals by a duo in the competition.
Kane constantly found Son with perfectly weighted balls, exploiting the South Korean’s blistering pace, while scoring the goals himself.
And now the South Korean veteran has opened up about his relationship with his former No.10, putting him at the forefront of players he has shared the pitch with.
In an interview with TNT Sports, Son said: “I think the German league also remains one of the best leagues and when we talk about Harry [Kane]I don’t need to give him advice. For me it’s the best.
“He is just for me… the best”

“Because he’s my friend, obviously you get bonus points.” It always will be [in] my top three, no matter what happens, he will always be in my top three.
“And above all, we had such an incredible connection and played together, we combined for so many goals and yes, having that kind of striker is always a dream.”
The love was certainly mutual. After Son reached 400 appearances for Tottenham, Kane sent a video message to Son saying: “Obviously I’ve been lucky enough to spend a lot of those appearances with you. »
Although Son has undoubtedly felt the impact of Kane’s departure for Bayern Munich, their mutual respect remains strong.
The partnership between Son and Kane will remain a strong memory for Spurs fans for decades to come and there may even come a time when Kane chooses to return for one last dance with his former teammate.
