Nuno Espirito Santo was today rewarded for Nottingham Forest’s recent brilliant run by being named Premier League Manager of the Month for December.
Forest have picked up five wins during the month and, having followed that up with a 3-0 win over Wolves on Monday, now sit in third position, just six points behind Liverpool.
The East Midlands club were expected to be embroiled in a relegation battle this season, but are now fighting for at least a top-four finish and a Champions League place.
After starting December with a defeat at Manchester City, Forest beat Manchester United, Aston Villa, Brentford, Tottenham and Everton.
They face Luton in the FA Cup tomorrow.
