Two men were accused of murder in the context of a criminal gang after a The 27 -year -old bride was shot During a wedding party in the south-east of France, prosecutors said.
Armed men opened fire last Sunday during a wedding celebration in Goult, a hill village overlooking the lavender fields, in the sources that could have been the drug -related scoring.
Four masked men shot several guests, including the newlyweds and the 13 -year -old nephew of the bride, in a parking lot outside the village hall, said Marseille prosecutor Nicolas Bessone on Thursday.
“The attackers opened fire, fatally injuring the bride, who was hit several times near the carotid artery,” said Bessone.
“The shots also struck the groom, who suffered several injuries in the upper body,” he said, adding that the boy had a pulmonary injury and was initially in critical condition.
The groom’s sister was also hit on the shoulder.
One of the attackers was killed. He was “killed in the back and head” and “also” hit a vehicle during the attack, “said the prosecutor.

His three accomplices fled. Two of them were detained in a neighboring town several hours later and the fourth is on the run.
Le Figaro reported that the suspects were also linked to a second shooting on the same day in the neighboring town of Avignon, where a man was shot and another injured near the A shopping center.
After 96 hours in police custody, the two suspects appeared before a magistrate on Thursday and accused of murder and attempted murder as part of an organized gang. They were placed in pre -trial detention.
The Marseille prosecutor did not specify their motivations. But a source close to the case said that the 25 -year -old was known to the police for drug and organized crime offenses.
Violence could be linked to a possible drug -related step, said another source.
Since 2022, Goult had a population of just over 1,000 people. The village is located in the south-east of France, about 80 km north of Marseille, a port city which was shaken by Drug -related killings in recent years.
The French government has recently promised to intensify the fight against narcotics and drug -related crime.
