The son of the Princess of the Crown of Norway, Mette-Marit, was charged with counts, including rape, sexual assault and bodily injury after his arrest in November 2024.
Marius Borg Høiby, the eldest son of the Princess of the Crown of Norway and stepfall of the heir to the throne, the Crown Prince Haakon, has been under schooling since he was arrested several times in 2024 in the midst of allegations of rape and preliminary damage to bodily injury and criminal damage.
On Friday, Oslo police said that Høiby, 28, was a cooperative during the police interrogation, which is now completed following a several -month investigation in a case that involved a number of “two -digit” accusers.
The evidence in the case was taken from sources, including SMS, testimonies and police searches, said Oslo police prosecutor Andreas Kruszewski.
During a press conference, Kruszewski said the accusations included a case of rape involving sexual intercourse and two cases of rape without sex, four cases of sexual assault and two cases of bodily injury.
“I cannot go into details of the number of victims in the case beyond confirming that this is a two-digit number,” he said.
Høiby’s lawyer said that he “absolutely took the accusations very seriously, but recognized no reprehensible act in most cases – in particular cases concerning sexual abuse and violence”.
The Royal Palace did not publish a declaration concerning the accusations.

Høiby was arrested for suspicion of rape in November and the police announced in a statement that he had been accused of having made a “sexual act” on a victim “would have been unable to resist the law”.

Before this arrest, Høiby had also been accused of a “mistreatment in close relations”, violating a prohibition and conduct without valid driving license, police said.
Police said Høiby had been placed in police custody on August 4, 2024, after an incident in Oslo’s apartment with a woman with whom he was in a relationship. Police said they had found a knife stuck in one of the walls of the woman’s room and that he was accused of having caused bodily lesions to her.
