Leave it to Ashanti and Nelly to keep things real and hilarious! Thursday, fans were treated at a surprise when Nelly jumped Live IG – And let’s just say that things have become very real. The rapper started with casualness with the stream while his Boo, Ashanti, was in full pumping breast milk. Yes, you read that right!
For a gentle – and hilarious – picture – picture, Ashanti was seen shooting a sheet on her face while Nelly was leaned near, trying to capture the moment. “She pumps milk for KK. She doesn’t want you to see,” he joked. Meanwhile, Ashanti burst out laughing and tried in a fun way to grab the phone with his hands. The couple gave fans an overview of parenting, almost a year after welcoming their first child together – a little boy named Kareem – July 18, 2024.
Meanwhile, Nelly could not resist cracking jokes and bring energy, cutting the camera as she was again in 2003. The moment has praised fans of the couple’s chemistry and how comfortable they are with each other – even in the most frank moments.

Their journey through parenthood
As before covered by the Shadow Hall, in July 2024, Ashanti and Nelly welcomed their son, Kareem Kenkaide Hayes. In addition to being Kareem’s father, Nelly has two biological children and assumed the role of Guardian for her niece and his nephew after the death of her sister in 2005. And it is Ashanti’s first child.
Ashanti previously shared that she had frozen her eggs before getting pregnant, explaining that she wanted to have the option “just in case”. She also described her son as her “best friend” and “the sweetest baby angel”, noting that he always makes her smile and laugh. By reflecting on her journey to maternity, Ashanti revealed that she had demonstrated marriage and children, but never imagined that this would take place with Nelly. “I kept saying,” Send me my person, anyone supposed to be, send them. And he sent it! She added.
Although the public had the wind for the first time of the couple’s marriage last June, the official files reveal that Ashanti and Nelly actually made the knot on December 27, 2023. Although they have kept a low profile, their link only seems to deepen when they continue to sail in this new chapter of their lives together.
