You can soon enter your favorite games even faster with the Xbox updated home screen. According to MicrosoftThe Xbox initiates should obtain three new personalization options later this week which will make their dashboard a little more personal. As detailed in Xbox wireSome Xbox players will have options to reduce clutter and allow them to draw their favorite games in front of the list.
The first major change allows you to pin up to three of your favorite games or applications in the recently played list. Pinting these means that they will remain near the front of your list even when you launch other applications on occasion. Beyond that, your Xbox will get the possibility of “hiding the system applications” which should reduce the size and store these less important shortcuts. To further streamline your home screen, Xbox will introduce the “Reduce the number of tiles” functionality that allows you to define the number of visible tiles in the list of recently open games and applications. With more control thanks to these new features, Xbox players should get a cleaner home page that allows their dynamic backgrounds to shine more.
“We have heard many of you that the house should look more like your space,” wrote Eden Marie, principal in software engineering of Xbox experiences, on Xbox’s blog. “Whether it is to face your favorite games, to hide what you do not use or simply make the house less congested, this update is a direct response to these comments.”
According to Microsoft, these features will arrive on Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha user consoles first. However, the company always refines the functionality of the number of reduction tiles, adding that it will “arrive soon”. Now, if only there was a way to hide these ads on the home screen.
