It looks like Meta did not make an OpenAi poaching talent.
Earlier this week, Techcrunch reported that Meta had hired the Influent Trapit Bansal Openai researcher, and According to the Wall Street JournalHe also hired three other researchers from the company.
Now the information reports Four other hires of Openai meta: Shengjia Zhao research, Jiahui Yu, Shuchao Bi and Hongyu Ren.
This hiring wave comes after the launch in April of Meta’s Llama 4 models, which would not have performed at CEO Mark Zuckerberg. (The company was also criticized on the version of Llama which it used for a popular reference.)
There have been back and forth between the two companies, the CEO of Openai, Sam Altman, suggesting that Meta offered “signing bonuses of $ 100 million” while adding that “so far, none of our best people” has left. Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth then told employees that even if the senior leaders had been offered this kind of money, “the real terms of the offer” were more complex than a simple unique signature bonus.
