A priest of Michigan known to direct religious visits and welcoming a podcast of exorcism was charged after having pretended to place the hair of a teenager in her mouth and proceeded to dental silk with her.
Father Carlos Martins, member of the Catholic Church and co-host of the Podcast “The Exorcist Files”, was accused of battery offense in Illinois for the incident in November.

Martins “caught the hair” of a 13 -year -old girl and placed it “in her mouth” in a “silk movement”, according to the criminal complaint, examined by Fox News Digital.
The Joliet police department confirmed to Fox News Digital that following the bizarre interaction, Martins sat behind the teenage girl and “made a growl”.
After the interaction, the religious tour was quickly closed and the local police were called to the scene to intercede.
The priest was confronted with employees of the diocese of Joliet, and he was told that “he had to leave our parish and out of our diocese”.
“In an abundance of prudence, the veneration of the relic and the evening mass was canceled”, The diocese said in a press release.

Martins was treated by the Joliet police department, charged and released pending its preliminary hearing, according to the judicial archives of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court in the county of Will.

Martins’ next hearing date is set for February 24, although he is not obliged to appear during this preliminary hearing, the county officials said.

In a press release, The Companions of the Cross, The religious order with which the treasures of the Church are affiliated, said that Martins had agreed to withdraw from his pastoral functions after the Church was informed of allegations.
“There remains right to a regular procedure, just like any accused,” said the Church. “The companions of the Cross consider allegations of misconduct as an urgent question which requires serious attention. We pray for all those who are touched by this painful situation.”

The status of Martins with the archdiocese of Detroit is now listed as “the ministry revoked”, according to the Church website.
Martins’ lawyer could not be joined to comment.
