Michelle Trachtenberg, who became famous as a star in the 1990s and 2000s, died at the age of 39, the New York police department said in CBS News, the American BBC partner.
The American actress was best known for having played Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Younger Sister Dawn Summers, and then played the role of manipulation of the Social Monorgina Georgina in Gossip Girl – which lasted from 2007 to 2012 – in adulthood.
His death is not treated as suspect, police said.
Trachtenberg made her cinema debut at Harriet The Spy in 1996, and she appeared in several Nickelodeon productions.
BBC News contacted the representatives of Trachtenberg to comment.
Manhattan police said they had answered an emergency call on Wednesday morning, and they found Trachtenberg “unconscious and insensitive”. She was “pronounced deceased on the scene”.
“Crime is not suspected. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation remains in progress,” NYPD said in a statement.
Trachtenberg made his debut to play at three years in the television series Nickelodeon The Adventures of Pete & Pete.
In the early 2000s, she was nominated for several actor prices – including an Emmy Award by day – for her role in Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
She also played in films such as Eurotrip, Ice Princess, Killing Kennedy and Sister Cities.
Trachtenberg appeared for the first time in Gossip Girl in 2008. She returned to the role of two episodes of the second season of the Restart of HBO Max in 2023.
His last role as a major player was in 2021 as a host of a real meeting of crime documents, marrying, murder, which appeared on the digital streamer Tubi.
In 2021, Trachtenberg accused Buffy the creator of Vampire Slayer, Joss Whedon, of inappropriate behavior on the set after his co-star charisma carpenter said that she had been traumatized due to the treatment she received from Whedon.
