Ruben Amorim rejected Roy Keane’s criticism with regard to the captain of Manchester United Bruno Fernandes and insisted that his opinion is “more important”.
Keane embarked on a rant in the last episode of overlap with the midfielder of Portugal Fernandes in the face of the anger of the Irishman.
The former plain midfielder Keane said: “I see fans singing for Bruno. I see these boys, and I think they are F ******* impostors.
“You must have a starting point. I come back to all this – Talent is not enough. Bruno is a talented player, but talent is not enough. “”
Keane’s eplosion occurred despite Fernandes playing a main role in United 3-2 victory against Ipswich on Wednesday evening.
“Talent is not enough to play for a big club!” 😡

Amorim is held for the Fernandes under fire
And Amorim was quick to defend his skipper before the fifth Tour of the FA Cup tie on Sunday with Fulham.
He said, “I heard about it. I have a different opinion. Bruno is really important to us and the club. He plays well in a difficult context. He always wants responsibility.
“I sometimes know as a captain, he does things with his arms, but above all, it’s a lot of frustration for this year and last year. He wants to win and sometimes it is difficult to face this frustration.
“Everyone has an opinion. Roy Keane has great standards of his time at the club and it is normal to have an opinion. I have an opposite opinion and I think that my opinion is more important than that of Roy Keane because I am the coach. »»
Garnacho to cough after an offense
This was another week of melodrama at Old Trafford with the winger Alejandro Garnacho also receiving a flak to walk directly in the tunnel just before half-time against Ipswich having been substituted following the red card of Patrick Dorgu.
Amorim said he spoke to Garnacho and revealed that the Argentinian international should treat the team one meal by excuse.
He said, “He came to me, to my office.
“I did an investigation. He [Garnacho] I went to the locker room, I watched the match, then returned home. It is not a problem but I told him that in Manchester United, everything is a problem. In this club, perception is important.
“He will pay for dinner for the whole team. That’s it.
“He’s a young child who will learn. The important thing is that the next morning, he spoke with me. We must understand the situation, the context, the age of the players. They must be better and understand that perception here is really important, but as I said, you can manage this the next day and move on. So let’s move on.
Amorim does not agree with the claim of ten hag
The predecessor of Amorim, Erik Ten Hag, also spoke this week, saying that modern players are soft. Amorim sees it differently, emphasizing the challenges caused by social media and the fact that each fan now has a way to express their opinion.
He added: “I think it’s completely different for players now. Before, these are just newspapers and nothing more. With social media, it’s completely different. You cannot go to social networks without seeing news or a photo or if you read something wrong, you focus on this. You can have 100 good things but a bad thing and you will focus on this.
“I think it’s really difficult for them. You can call it sweet, but they have access to criticisms that are difficult to manage. They need help to cope with it. It’s modern football and they have to be prepared for this. »»
