Liverpool striker, Darwin Nunez, would have offered himself to Barcelona while looking for a transfer from Anfield this summer.
International Uruguaye had trouble finding its best form in a Liverpool shirt, despite an exceptional talent before during his stay in former club Benfica.
It now seems that there is not much future for Nunez à Liverpool, and he is looking for new opportunities before next season.
According to a Spanish report FichajesThe Reds striker has now contacted Barcelona to tell them about his availability.
Robert Lewandowski is currently the first choice of Barça in advance, but he is about to be 37 years old, so there could be a role for someone like Nunez at the Nou camp in the near future.
Should Barcelona sign Liverpool Darwin Nunez flop?
Fichajes claims that Barcelona has not yet made a decision on this potential agreement, manager Hansi Flick should think about it.
However, it may seem unlikely that the Catalan giants are also interested in Nunez after his difficulties in the Premier League.
The 25 -year -old has only managed 40 goals in a total of 135 games in all the competitions for LFC, and it is not surprising that he is not a starter under the Arne slot machine.
Perhaps some major clubs in Europe will be ready to move for Nunez, but we imagine Barcelona and others at the highest level will have the impression of doing better.
Liverpool would do well to unload the undesirable South American striker, but it might not be so easy to find a voluntary buyer for him after his poor recent form.
