The Elon Musk government efficiency department provides Organize a hackathon next week focused on the creation of a “mega API” which will provide access to taxpayers, according to Wired.
Wired says that the hackathon is organized by two employees of DOGE from the Internal Revenue Service – Gavin Kliger and Sam Corcos, who is also CEO at Healthtech Startup. Corcos would have told others in Doge that his objective is to build “a new API to govern them all”.
This would allow cloud suppliers to easily access IRS data, including the names of taxpayers, addresses, social security numbers, income statements and employment information, which could all be exported to external systems. According to Wired, a third -party party supplier manages parts of the project, Palant, “always” “systematically” mentioned as a candidate.
“This is essentially an open door controlled by musk for all the most sensitive information of all Americans without any of the rules that normally guarantee this data,” said an anonymous worker from the IRS to Wired.
