A 27 -year -old academic student who climbed on Mount Fuji outside his official climbing season was rescued twice in four days, after his return in search of his mobile phone.
The Chinese student, who lives in Japan, was rescued for the first time by helicopter on Tuesday while he was on the Fujinomiya path, which is around 3,000 m (9,800 feet) above sea level.
He could not go down the path after losing his crampons – a point with a point that is attached to the bottom of climbing shoes for better traction.
But a few days later, he returned to the mountains to recover the personal effects he left, including his phone. He was rescued again on Saturday after suffering from altitude evil but is now out of danger.
Due to difficult conditions, people are discouraged from the climbing of Mount Fuji outside the official climbing season which begins in early July and ends in early September.
All paths leading to the top of Mount Fuji are closed at the moment, according to the Ministry of the Environment.
After the rescue of the man, the police of the prefecture of Shizuoka reiterated his advice against the climbing of the mountain during the dead season, because the time could suddenly change, which makes it difficult for the rescuers to answer. Medical installations along the trails are also closed.
The publications of some X users criticized man for ignoring security advice against climbing at the time, saying that he should be done to pay the two rescue missions.
Renowned worldwide for its perfect cone shape, Mount Fuji of 3,776 m (12,388 feet) is one of the most popular attractions and authorities in Japan, in recent years, the measures to resolve over-surmonism by increasing climbing costs.
In 2023, more than 220,000 people climbed Mount Fuji between July and September.
