Iwot Studios recently announced that he had launched his own game development studio called Iwot Games. The new studio is headed by Craig Alexander, formerly vice-president of product development at Warner Bros. Games. His first project is an open world RPG based on The wheel of time Series written by Robert Jordan, with an eye on a multi-platform-form-based strategy based on intellectual property.
According to Iwot, the new game will be based on the success of The wheel of time Amazon Prime Show by delivering more people and the traditions of the series to its fans community. Iwot is involved in the production of the Prime show. Alexander plans to start development by establishing a head office in Montreal with plans to build the management team in the coming months.
Alexander said in a press release: “The adaptation of such a legendary mythology in an Open RPG is a rare and ambitious challenge. You need vision, scale and a dynamic creative environment – which Montreal all provides.
This is not the first time that Iwot – or Red Eagle Entertainment, as it was once known – revealed its intention to make games based on the world of Jordan. In 2008, Red Eagle announced its intention to adapt the series to games and films, however A collaboration planned with the obsidian Never seemed to go anywhere.
