Before his beginnings on Shark Tank India season 4, the founder and managing director of Veeba Foods, Viraj Bahl, lived on the beginnings of the Sauce brand. Bahl shared its start -up trip from Veeba Foods to the Pitch Prep series by Shark Tank India.
In this interaction, Bahl recalled the moment when he took the risk of starting Veeba after losing all his money in his restoration.
“After the catering sector closed its doors, I was completely broke. There was no money. When I thought I wanted to get into the sauces sector, few spouses accepted a Decision like this, “said the founder of Veeba.
He revealed that the situation was so serious that he launched his new business by selling his wife’s house to finance the business. In addition, he revealed that his wife had taken less than 30 seconds to accept his decision to start a sauces and mayonnaise company.
“I went to see my wife and said,” Riddhima, I want to sell our house and start a commercial sauce “, but she didn’t take 30 seconds to accept what I wanted to do.”
The founder of Veeba Foods also called a failed entrepreneur and said that he had learned from his failures. Bahl, which will soon appear on Shark Tank India 4, also developed the first years of the sauce and mayonnaise Company.
“The first 1-2 years of Veeba were very difficult for me. Any founder is shaken when he realizes that he has no money to pay wages. “He said that he started a huge factory but that he could not bring into a business.
He said that the first order of the company occurred two years after the business start. The Domino pizza giant approached Veeba for around 70 tonnes of pizza, after which, there was no return to Bahl.
Viraj Bahl declared the company Veeba, after its mother Vibha Bahl, in 2013 by emphasizing the supply of high quality sauces and mayonnaise.
