Hamas began a third cycle of hostage liberation in Gaza Thursday as part of an ongoing ceasefire agreement with Israel.
Hamas has handed over an Israeli soldier woman Agam Berger, 20, at the Red Cross during a ceremony of the strongly destroyed urban refugee camp in Jabaliya in northern Gaza. She was then transferred to the Israeli defense forces.

Another ceremony was scheduled in the southern city of Khan Younis, in front of the destroyed house of the chief of Hamas killed Yahya Sinwar. The two were assisted by hundreds of people, including masked activists and spectators.

Hamas agreed to transmit three Israelis and five Thai captives on Thursday. In exchange, Israel was to release 110 Palestinian prisoners.

The truce aims to liquidate the deadliest and most destructive war ever fought between Israel and Hamas, of which on October 7, 2023, Israel triggered the fighting. It took place despite a dispute earlier this week on the sequence in which the hostages were published.
