President Donald Trump said the United States and Moscow would begin negotiations “immediately” to end the war in Ukraine after talking with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
Trump said the two leaders also agreed to work together and visit the other’s nations. He added that he would inform Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of their call.
“I just had a long and very productive phone call with President Vladimir Putin of Russia,” wrote Trump on his social platform Truth.
“We have agreed to work together, very closely, including visiting the nations of each other. We have also accepted that our respective teams immediately start negotiations, and we will start by calling President Zelenskyy, from Ukraine, to inform him of the conversation, something I will do at the moment. »»
