We would be forgiven for not having noticed, but Daisy Ridley, of the fame of “Star Wars”, made a new film in theaters arrived during the weekend. The film focuses on a group of radical activists who take up the annual gala of an energy company, taking 300 hostages in the process. An extremist in their ranks is quickly known and he is ready to assassinate everyone in the building to send his message to the world. Meanwhile, an ex-soldier who has become window cleaner (Ridley) is suspended at 50 floors outside the building and is involuntarily responsible for saving everyone inside.
To make things worse, it is only the last in a series of small films that have not passed anywhere for Ridley. After “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” made $ 1 billion in 2019, Ridley had the world ahead of her. Whether Ridley considers them or not, failures in a creative manner is another conversation, but commercially, it is impossible to challenge the results. Is it just Ridley who makes purely creative choices that are not breaking down? Does she have trouble reserving better jobs? Is this a problem with its representatives? Currently, we have more questions than answers. We can only hope that it is only a difficult sequence that will be broken as soon as possible.
