According to News4jaxThe incident occurred on Saturday, February 15 at an intersection in the Murray Hill region in Jacksonville, Florida. According to the ex-girlfriend of Collins, he would have broken with her a little before. Earlier in the day, Collins would have called the man, asking him to pick up his personal effects.
The man would have refused, adding that Collins was invited to throw his personal effects. Subsequently, the man then went out for the evening with a woman. To note, News4jax report that the woman was a person with whom he was getting out before. However, the New York Post report that the woman was the married cousin of the man, Latasha Taylor.
While they went to a restaurant, he would have stopped at a stop fire at Edgewood Avenue and Post Street. While waiting for the light to change, the man would have noticed that Collins’ car stops along the passenger side of his vehicle.
After a failed attempt to move away from Collins, she would have approached her vehicle, hitting “aggressively” on the window. An argument ensued between Collins and Man, then Collins and his Taylor. In the end, Collins shot the woman on the head.

According to News4jaxPolice discovered a “380 caliber shell case where the victim was found”. Subsequently, Latorray Collins was arrested and accused of attempted murder.
