The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said it had recovered the black box from the murderous plane accident on January 31 in Philadelphia.
The announcement made on Sunday, said the investigators had located the vocal recorder of the cockpit (CVR) at eight feet under the site of the initial impact.
Investigators also found the proximity warning system improved by the plane (EGPWS), which, according to the NTSB, “could also contain flight data”.
“The two components will be sent to the Laboratory of NTSB vehicle recorders in Washington, DC for evaluation,” said a statement. “The NTSB investigators have recovered the two engines. Recovery of the wreckage continues tomorrow and all the wrecks will be sent to a secure place in Delaware for a more in -depth exam.”

Flight data recorders and CVRs are tools that help investigators rebuild events that have led to a plane crash. They are orange to make them easier to find in the wrecks and are generally installed in the tail section of an airplane, which is considered the most survivable part of the plane, according to the NTSB website.
