Luke Littleler only needed 10 minutes to walk in the second round of the Winmau World Masters at a night when Jonny Clayton dazzled, Michael Van Gerwen showed a new look and Chris Dobey, Dave Chisnall and Gary Anderson have been beaten.
The defending world champion of the PDC, Littler, dropped only one leg while he was swept away the world champion of WDF 2023 Andy Baetens 3-0 to set up a last confrontation with James Wade on Saturday after The latter beat Mike of Decker 3-2 in a hard opening hard game of the evening.
Littleler was superb on his doubles at the start of his confrontation with Baetens, hitting his first four attempts before ending with a success rate of six out of nine on the outside ring.
Nathan Aspinall also impressed, pinning six doubles out of eight and a formidable 161 finish on the bull while sweeping Andrew Gilding 3-0 to guarantee a confrontation with the conqueror of Chisnall Cameron Menzies, who beat his opponent out of the doors 3-1 .
But the performance of the evening came from Clayton, who obtained an average of 112.77 on average to defeat Martin Schindler 3-1 in a high quality case, winning a victory for Wales after the Ruby Union team of the country was beaten 43-0 by France in the six nations.
