The next Apple major update set for iPhone, iPad and Mac operating systems could make the biggest design changes on business platforms for years, Bloomberg reportedciting anonymous sources.
The redesign, defined with iOS19, iPados 19 and MacOS 16, will update icons, menus, applications, windows and system buttons while simplifying navigation and control, depending on the report. The new design would be freely based on Visionos, the VisionPro VR headset operating system from Apple, which uses circular icons and translucent panels for navigation.
The changes, supposed to be a major objective for software teams and user interface of the Apple design department, are supervised by Apple vice-president of human interface Alan Dye, said Bloomberg.
The company will first be presented on iOS 19, iPados 19 and MacOS 16 at its global conference for developers (WWDC) in June, according to the report.
