Moeen Ali says that the potential suspension of the former teammate of England Harry Brook of the IPL is “not hard”.
Brook withdrawn an agreement with the Delhi capital franchise for the second consecutive year when he favors his international commitments before the five -summer tests at home in India, then ashes in Australia from November.
The new IPL rules stipulate that any player who withdrew after the auctions faces a two -seasons ban, only made for injuries or medical reasons.
The former versatile of England, Moeen Ali, who was signed by the defense of the champions of the iPl Kolkata Knight Riders before the 2025 season which begins this weekend, told the Beard before cricket Podcast: “It’s not [harsh]I sort of agree with [the IPL bans].
“Many people [withdraw]. People have done so in the past, then come back and ended up getting a better financial package or anything. It spoils a lot.
“It spoiled his team [Delhi Capitals] up, [Brook] Drawing. Any team that loses Harry Brook is a little spoiled, and they must now add everything.
“Forget it for a second, if you withdraw, the rule is that you get a ban, unless it is a reason or a family injury. If it is an injury, it’s different. But I think if you withdraw … I agree with [the rules]. “”
Moeen: Brook probably just wants a break
Brook is one of the avant-to-checks to take over as captain of England white ball with Jos Buttler resigning from the role after the Group Group out of the Champions Trophy.
The Yorkshireman could take care of the internationals ODI and T20 or perhaps simply if the Skipper of Test Ben Stokes becomes a 50-year-old captain, which the director general of England of male cricket Rob Key dit is exposed.
Moeen feels that Brook is a fully format player and potentially about to take a management position is reasons for his withdrawal from the IPL.
He added: “With Brook, he played a lot of cricket. He probably thinks just a little rest [as] There is a great summer to come, to come from 12 months.
“England plays a lot and Brook plays all the shapes and it will probably also be captain of the white ball team, so it probably just gives itself a break.
“It was a difficult winter, so he will probably just put his game in order a little more. That’s it.”
Adil Rashid Adil Rashid in England of the potential Brook IPL ban: “You know that is the rule. You know the consequences [of pulling out]So I don’t think it’s hard.
“It has been going on for a while. For the past five, 10 years, many people who have been selected have generally been withdrawn. This is what they are trying to stop.
“Many people who make the team withdraw at the last minute and it spoils things in terms of team dynamics.”
