A federal judge ruled on Wednesday in favor of the Trump administration, after a non -profit organization funded by the government filed a complaint protecting itself from the “continuous destruction” of the Ministry of Effectiveness of the Government (DOGE).
The American Institute of Peace (USIP) made Tuesday a request for a temporary prohibition order (Tro), claiming that DOGE had committed “a literal intrusion and a takeover by force … of the seat of the institute based on Constitution avenue.”
The organization also accused the anti-waste initiative of “continuous destruction of physical and electronic goods from the Institute”.
“The defendants were and are at that time engaged in a conduct which will cause irremediable damage to the Institute which will prevent the Institute from carrying out one of its legitimate functions and is likely to destroy it completely,” said the trial.

In a decision on Wednesday, judge Beryl Howell motioned for rejecting the USIP’s request for a Tro.
“I think there is confusion in the complaint that makes me uncomfortable,” said Howll.
“I would say that I am very offended by the way Dog has worked in the Institute in the treatment of American citizens…. But this concern about the way in which this has decreased is not one that can swing me in consideration of factors for Tro, which is an emergency relief, which is exceptional,” she continued.
Howell, who was appointed principal judge of the American district district court in 2024, also said that it was “particularly concerned about the probability of applicants’ success”.
“Two of the most important tests, likely to succeed in merits and likely to undergo irreparable damage, are just a section here,” added Howll.

USIP, an independent institution funded by the congress, was created in 1984 as part of the Reagan administration. His goal is to “[protect] The interests of the United States helping to prevent violent conflicts and to negotiate peace agreements abroad, “said his website.
“Our work helps to ensure the safety of America, reducing the risk that the United States will be trained in expensive foreign wars that stimulate terrorism, criminal gangs and migration,” said the agency’s website. “We help make America stronger by projecting an American influence and strengthening the partner countries of the regions destabilized by China and other American opponents.”
USIP had sadly not respected the executive decree of President Donald Trump to withdraw the “scope of the federal bureaucracy”, refusing to reduce its size to the minimum statutory listed in order.
As such, the Trump administration pulled 11 of its 14 members of the board of directors last week, leaving only the Secretary of State Marco RubioSecretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and the president of the University of National Defense Peter Garvin.
Howell’s decision occurred shortly after the White House told Fox News Digital that the Trump administration had emptied USIP of “bureaucrats thugs”.

“Bureaucrats Voyouss will not be allowed to hold agencies hostage,” said the White House spokesperson Anna Kelly in a Tuesday statement. “The Trump administration will apply the president’s executive authority and ensure that his agencies remain responsible for the American people.”
