Liverpool keeps its options open in case Virgil Van Dijk leaves for a free transfer this summer, with three defenders have on their radar.
According to Christian Falk, the Reds envisage Nico Schlotterbeck, Marc Guehi and Konstantinos Koulierakis as possible replacements for their captain.
The Dutch contract should expire at the end of the season, and although negotiations have been continuing for months, no extension has been agreed.
