The father of the 20 -year -old student from the University of Pittsburgh, 20, Sudiksha Konanki, who disappeared in the tourist town of the Dominican Popular Republic of Punta Cana then during the spring holidays with friends, said that he had asked the authorities to expand their investigation.
Konanki was seen before dawn on March 6 on a beach near the station where she was staying, according to civil defense officials.
“It’s four days, and if she was in the water, she would probably have been scattered on the ground,” said her father Subbarayudu Konanki said wtop-fm.
“It is not found, so we ask them to investigate several options, such as removal or removal.”
Authorities used drones, helicopters and detection dogs on Monday to cover the waters off the east coast of the island where it was seen for the last time, Jensen Sánchez, Civil Defense spokesperson said at the Associated Press.

Official complaint filed
When his family learned his disappearance, Subbarayudu Konanki and his wife Sreedevi flew to Punta Cana with two family friends. He and a friend of the family filed a complaint on Sunday, asking the authorities to expand the investigation.
The complaint notes that the student’s personal effects, including his phone and his wallet, ended up with her friends, “which is unusual because she was still carrying her phone with her.”
“In the light of these circumstances, I respectfully ask that the authorities take immediate measures to investigate not only the possibility of accidental drowning, but also the possibility of a removal or a unfair game,” he wrote, according to Wop-FM.
Sudiksha Konanki, citizen of India, is a permanent American resident in Chantilly, Virginia, According to the Sheriff’s Bureau of the county of Loudounwho works with federal officials and the university police in support of the Dominican national investigation.
Pittsburgh University officials are in contact with the Virginia family and authorities and offered their support in efforts to find the missing student and bring it home safely, the school said in a statement.
Konanki and five other university students went to the Dominican Republic on March 3, according to his father.
“She wanted to take a great break with her friends in Punta Cana,” he said.
