Dirty has just unveiled a new market called AgentxchangeCreating what he describes as the first trusted market for AI agents in corporate software and positioning himself at the center of what he considers will be a “digital labor” market of 6 billions of dollars.
The push of the company in AI agents – software that can perform complex tasks independently – represents one of the most ambitious attempts in Silicon Valley to transform the operation of companies.
“We have seen a great adoption through customers such as Zoomfo, Remarkable and Imit Health who use Agentforce in Slack to stimulate productivity,” said Rob Seaman, Vice-President Director of Product Management at Salesforce, in an exclusive interview with Venturebeat.
The new market is launched with more than 200 partners, including Google Cloud,, Docusign,, Box And Working daywhich build prepacké agent solutions that companies can implement without in -depth technical expertise.
Although a large part of the attention concerning artificial intelligence has focused on text -generating tools like Chatgpt, Salesforce is betting that specialized AI agents will offer a more immediate commercial value. These agents do not only generate text – they take measures within commercial systems.
“If you look at the overall labor market, we don’t really have enough people to make the jobs we currently need,” said Seaman. “This is a great transformation that will change many jobs, but it offers more labor capacity in the system.”
The company’s research suggests a significant request for automation of administrative tasks. Amit Khanna, SVP and GM for Salesforce Health, cited research showing that “around 87% of health care people say they work late every day to finish administrative tasks”.
Salesforce targets Healthcare’s administrative burden with specialized AI agents
Health care has a convincing use case for AI agents. The industry is administrative, clinicians spending a lot of time in documentation rather than care for patients.
Khanna described several specific applications for health care: “We examine three areas: access to patients – make appointments, find providers, verification of services; public health documents; and pairing of clinical trials. »»
For patient confidentiality, Salesforce has implemented several guarantees. “When we send data to language models for a summary, we first delete all the protected health information,” said Khanna. “He uses tags instead of names, generates a summary, then replaces these beacons with real names before running for the user.”
The Salesforce code without code makes the creation of AI agents accessible to sales teams
An important aspect of the Salesforce approach is to reduce technical obstacles to the creation of AI agents. According to Seaman, what surprised him the most is “the speed of creation and iteration”.
“The number of people who can create a technology to solve problems have developed considerably because it is based on subjects and instructions written in natural language, and not programming languages,” said Seaman.
This simplification could allow professional users to create their own automation solutions without depending on technical teams.
What the first Salesforce customers learned about the deployment of AI agents successfully
The first adopters discovered significant considerations for an effective deployment of AI agents. The sailor noted that many organizations “do not spend enough time thinking about dead ends or negative instructions”.
“It is just as important to give subjects and instructions to provide advice on what to do if the agent does not know how to proceed,” he explained.
OutstandingA first adopter, deployed a computer service agent on which employees interact directly in Slack. The agent manages routine tasks such as password resets and helps new hires configured their equipment, while knowing when involving human computer staff.
The vision of Salesforce for the way AI agents will transform roles and responsibilities into a workplace
As AI agents become more capable, questions about their impact on employment are inevitable. The sailor supervises technology not to replace human workers but as a complement.
“I don’t think about it as the replacement of people. I think of it as increasing them and helping them focus on the work that really matters, “he said.
In health care, Khanna thinks that AI agents first tackle administrative tasks before gradually moving to clinical support roles. “The next wave will move to the clinical side while doctors strengthen trust in technology,” he predicted.
The AI agents market is still developing, but Salesforce is positioned as a platform company rather than trying to build all possible agents itself. With agentxchange, he creates an ecosystem where partners can build specialized agents for various industries.
It remains to consider these AI agents as companies as essential productivity tools or consider them as interesting but not yet essential technologies. For the moment, Salesforce is betting that the future workplace includes both human and digital employees.
