The United States Embassy in Somalia has issued a warning to the Americans saying that there was “credible information linked to potential imminent attacks” around the East African Nation.
Authorities have not provided details on potential attacks, but the Mogadiscio Embassy said it was following threats to several locations, including Aden Aden International Capital Airport. All the staff of the embassy, it was said to cancel all movements, according to the published warning On the Embassy website.
“The United States Embassy in Somalia reminds American citizens that terrorists continue to plot the abductions, the attacks of the attacks and other attacks in Somalia,” the embassy said in its warning. “They can carry out attacks with little or no warning, targeting airports and sea ports, control points, government buildings, hotels, restaurants, shopping areas and other areas where large crowds come together and Westerners attend, as well as government, military and Western convoys.”
