Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau hopes to talk to President Donald Trump today after calling his “very stupid” prices, according to a report.
A senior Canadian official told the Associated Press that Trudeau had informed the first Canada provinces yesterday that he hoped to speak to Trump on Wednesday.
The conversation comes after Trudeau criticized the new prices of 25% of Trump on his country, promising that “we will not back up a fight”.
“I mean directly to a specific American. Donald, over the eight years, you and I worked together, we did great things,” Trudeau said at a press conference on Tuesday. “And now we should work together to ensure even greater prosperity for North Americans in a very uncertain and stimulating world. Now, it’s not in my habit of agreeing with the Wall Street Journal. But Donald, they point out that even if you are a very intelligent guy, it’s a very stupid thing to do. We – two friends who beat us – is exactly what our adversaries of the world want to see.”

Trudeau announced 25% of reprisals on American products in response to Trump prices, which entered into force yesterday morning.
Trump said that after Trudeau’s remarks on Tuesday that “when he puts a reprisal rate in the United States, our reciprocal rate will immediately increase a similar amount!”
Trudeau added during his press conference that he was “still there” to speak with Trump “about the importance of working together to face the world at the moment”.
“The facts show very clearly that in terms of action on fentanyl, we do everything necessary. And not only for the United States, for ourselves as well as Canadians also suffer from the scourge which is illegal fentanyl,” he also said.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lunick reported a possible agreement between the Trump administration and the leaders of Canada and Mexico who could see some of the prices imposed on the two nations.
During an appearance of Tuesday in Fox Business “Kudlow”, Lutnick told the Larry Kudlow host that Trump will probably seek to meet American neighbors in the middle by emphasizing the American-mexico-Canada (USMCA) agreement, which was created to create a fair trade between nations.
“He looks really carefully who tries to understand if there is one way he can come in the middle, where he can give something to Canadians and Mexicans, but they have to do more,” he told Kudlow. “They have to end the death of fentanyl. You can’t just say that it is ok that people can die. It’s just not a thing.”

“It will not be a break. None of these break things. But I think he will understand, you do more, and I will meet you in the middle,” he added. “We are likely to announce that tomorrow. So, somewhere in the middle will probably be the result-the president moving with the Canadians and the Mexicans, but not all along,” he added.
