British Prime Minister Keir Starmer presented a framework for a peace plan between Ukraine and Russia on Sunday, although he recognized that he is based strongly on the alleged American support.
Starmer revealed the plan with French President Emmanuel Macron and other European leaders at a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. In a concession to the administration of President Donald Trump, Starmer stressed that European countries should “intensify their own share of the burden” towards security guarantees for Ukraine in the event of a peace agreement.
Starmer said the United Kingdom is ready to deploy boots in the field in Ukraine as well as Air Force assets to ensure that Russia does not encourage a peace agreement. He nevertheless declared that the plan would be based strongly on the support of us.
Macron told French media that European leaders discussed a plan that would freeze air, sea and energy infrastructure for 30 days in Ukraine. He said the window could be used to negotiate a wider peace agreement.
