Every time Bio-Dome Make its rounds on streaming, I am absolutely paralyzed by the hypnotic call of the belette (hey, buddyyyy!) Because I am the type of person who sometimes likes to look at a manchild speaking in the guy while scary the squares, and the comedy of Pauly Shore is specifically designed to scratch this Itch. When I saw that Son -in -law I am broadcast on Hulu, I had to participate in the action because I do not think I have ever watched the film with the intention of an adult, and my body was covered with a hideous rash that my primary care doctor attributed to a severe removal of belette.
After having built a sandwich the size of Scooby-Doo accompanied by a leaning tower of Cheeza, I remarked with Son -in -law Because I am 36 years old, the rat race is horrible, and this story of fish out of the water embodies the rural getaway which I have desperately wanted lately.
From Los Angeles to southern Dakota

Legal son The main characters could not be more different when we are presented for the first time at Becca Warner (Carla Gugino), a farm of southern Dakota which is accepted in a college in Los Angeles, where she meets Fred “Crawl” Weasel (Paully Shore). Crawl, the resident counselor of the university, is without care, flamboyant, the life of the party and the king of the campus, which allows him to help Becca to get out of his shell and to enjoy university life when she has a second reflection on being so far from his home. When Becca realizes that Crawl has no one to get home during the Thanksgiving break, she invites her home to meet her family because the idea of a lonely belet fixing the walls is too much for her.
Learning that her longtime boyfriend, Travis (Dan Gauthier), plans to offer her, crawl assuming that she is not ready to engage in marriage, but is afraid to hurt her feelings. Lacking in subtlety because he is Pauly Shore, cracking them that becca is already engaged himShocking and horrible her family, but at the very least buy Becca a little time to understand what she wants with life.
Classic fish article out of water

As Son -in -law Progress in its second and third acts, you get all the familiar rhythms that you expect in a film on a boy in the progressive city trying to get your hands dirty in a farm to win the family of Becca. But there is a pregnancy that the hike has Son -in -law Because in spite of his abrasive and unpleasant personality, he really does his best to become an ideal hand-to-attressor for someone with whom he means that to be romantically involved.
With the father of Becca, Walter (Lane Smith), and his farm, Theo (Dennis Burkley), trying to sabotage Crawl’s efforts at each stage, Crawl surprises everyone by really learning to be an efficient farmer (with faux steps along the way). Infiltrating the Warner family further, Crawl gives the mother of Becca, Connie (Cindy Pickett), a stroke of confidence by giving her a makeover, as well as helping the younger brother Zack (Patrick Renna) with his computer games.
While Crawl and Becca continue to bind and train what seems to be a real relationship in Son -in -lawIt is natural that Travis is mixed with the background, also trying to sabotage the relationship he does not know is yet very cunning.
Intended to be a classic cult

I cannot believe that I say that, but the character of Slacker Lapotant of Pauly Shore of the 90s resisted surprisingly well in 2025, and Son -in -law In one way or another, he has power. It is perhaps because we live in the era of prestige television where everything must have layers on layers of serious subtext, and it is refreshing to watch the ramp, or “the belet”, do its thing and run like a game of day-glooosh wrapped with sexual innuendos. Or perhaps, just perhaps, Pauly Shore was courageous enough to be disoriented clumsy while showing sincerity in this context because he clearly spends a good time acting as a fool.
To date, you can broadcast Son -in -law On Hulu. Don’t expect anything deep when you hit the “game” … I can’t insist enough. But if you are ready to turn off your brain for 95 minutes and enjoy a good comedy with an old -fashioned screw, you enjoy.
