Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made the exciting affirmation that players do not need a lot of persuasion to move to the Emirates stadium.
Speaking at his press conference earlier in the day, Arteta told journalists that he did not necessarily think that a great victory over someone like Real Madrid had as much impact on players’ transfer decisions.
Arteta was asked if pointing great results like this can prove the key to convince the players who could be on the fence to join.
However, the Spanish tactician suggested that he never really had this problem anyway.
Arteta supervised an impressive revision of the Arsenal team since it became a manager a few years ago, the club with big names like Declan Rice during his reign.
The players always seem excited to join Arsenal, says Mikel Arteta
Arsenal is a big name, even if it’s been a moment since their most successful period, and it seems that their reputation means that players are always enthusiastic when Arteta approaches them.
Asked about things like Madrid’s result having an effect, Arteta said: “Maybe this can be another factor, but I think we are very lucky, because we are a football club which, each time I spoke to the players, they want to be part of it.
“This is something that can perhaps generate more enthusiasm, more belief … because the club is in the right place.
“Overall, we are already so strong that we can attract any player.”
Arsenal fans will be happy to hear this, because it could mean that Arteta is already confident to land some of the big names linked to the artillerymen before the summer.
Arteta could certainly do with the addition of one or two best attackers after injuries to Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, while Bukayo Saka also had a lot of pressure on him after being invited to play so many games at a relatively young age.
