Buffy The Vampire Slayer The Joss Whedon showrunner is famous for having planned major scenarios of years in advance … For example, prefiguring the existence of Buffy Dawn’s sister in seasons 3 and 4 before her introduction in season 5. However, there is a blatant example at the start of the show on how Little Whedon had thought of Angel’s love life. In the episode of season 2 “Halloween”, Willow assures that Buffy (not to mention the public) that the vampire will never go out with Cordelia, but the two end up falling in love with the Spinoff show Angel.
Why was Slayer talking about Cordelia and Angel connecting in the first place? At the beginning of “Halloween”, she was late at an appointment with her Beau-Beau because she had to deposit some of her blood comrades. This gives Cordelia time to hit Angel in bronze, which has raised fears that Buffy is not the kind of woman that her boyfriend old centuries really likes.

Looking at “Halloween” for the first time, it is difficult to disagree with Willow when she says that “Angel would never fall for [Cordelia’s] Act. “Buffy’s best friend assures her that” she is not her guy “, but Buffy begins to fear that she will not be her type.
After BuffyThe third season, Cordelia left Sunnydale to join Angel in Los Angeles. THE Angel Spinoff has presented his full character with several friends over the years, but nothing more surprising than Cordelia. She started working alongside Angel in season 1, and their commercial relationship quickly flourished in a real friendship.
For most AngelOur title of title and Cordelia simply had a friendly relationship, but that changed after Buffy’s death. Cordelia helped Angel treat the trauma of the death of the Slayer and they realized (frustrating, frustrating Slowly), they had feelings for each other. Unfortunately, the show has never really explored their relationship, because it was Yée in the upper plan and returned possessed by Jasmine, a villain made much more frightening by some of the worst writings of all the Wedonverse.

From the point of view of television, it is not so surprising that Angel and Cordelia fell in love, if only briefly … After all, only so many years that a television show can hang hot head characters in front of us before making a couple. However, it is a bit shocking that Willow, a wise and magical character, was so false as for the possibility that Angel and Cordelia never connect. Even more shocking is that Joss Whedon immediately rejected the very possibility of what would become the most infamous relationship of the spin-off.
Of course, the Angel The spin-off did not exist when Willow made her predictions, so neither she nor Whedon could guess that the vampire and Cordelia would become main characters intended for the botched romance. Another reason to go slowly on the incorrect prediction of Willow is that even a witch as she cannot see the future … Of course, the angel who was crying for Buffy in season 2 has never been likely to fall in love with Cordelia Aéré, but the two characters had radically changed when they fell in love. And Willow herself changes radically in even less time, leaving gay and falling in love with Tara.
It turns out that Joss Whedon is easy for Joss Whedon to predict small sisters, but not as easy to predict (magic or other) business).
