Democratic strategist James Carville said he thought that HBO host Bill Maher was deceived by President Donald Trump’s charm at their recent White House meeting.
The former advisor to Bill Clinton and his co-host Al Hunt criticized the host “in real time with Bill Maher” for having had the meeting in a part of their “Podcast of political war room “ This was published on Saturday and reported by Ribboniet.
“I think that the problem that people have with Bill -I have the same -is that you are sort of legitimacy and credibility,” said Carville, saying that Maher Normalise Trump, who said elsewhere “S —-” on the American Constitution.

Maher, a firm and long-standing critic from Trump, dined with Trump in the White House earlier this month. While summarizing the meeting on his HBO show last week, the host was amazed at the way the president was “graceful and measured”. The president was behind closed doors.
“I never felt that I had to walk on shells around him,” said Maher to his audience “in real time”. “And honestly, I voted for Clinton and Obama, but I would never feel comfortable talking to them about how I was able to speak with Donald Trump. That’s just how it happened. Doing what you want. Me? I think it’s emblematic of the reason why the Democrats are so unpopular these days.”
During an appearance at the podcast later this week, Maher responded to the backlash he obtained on the left for the meeting.
“I had the opportunity to go to the White House and speak to the President and not to abandon my principles. It seems that no one has noticed,” said Maher. “I did not go Maga. I had the opportunity to speak to Donald Trump and tell him things that he may never hear, literally to tell the truth in power. I should not seize this opportunity?”

In their program, Hunt told Carville that he thought that Maher had been “had”, or died to find Trump charming.
“I think Bill Maher was had. He went there and he talked about the charming and kind of Trump. It was the same guy that day that revel in a guy who was illegally expelled to El Salvador and refuses to bring him back, who likes to injure people, like to inflict pain.”
“But, you know, Bill is only the last of an entire series of people who have been by personal charm, if you want, very bad people,” continued Hunt.
Carville is struck, declaring that even if he considers Maher as a “friend”, he thinks that he was also dubed.

“I think [Maher’s] A supremely naive man, “the strategist said, reminding his audience that the actor met” someone who has —- on the Constitution “.
“This is exactly what he does-was surprised lying 36,411 times or regardless of this number … someone who was found guilty of 34 crimes in a competent court, a person who has set up all the claws you can imagine,” he said.
Hunt replied: “I agree with you on naivety. When you lie down with dogs, you get flea.”
The representatives of Bill Maher did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital to comment.
