The Final Four of Men is still days, but the college ball is not resting. These are the quarterfinals of the university basketball crown in Las Vegas, now down 16 teams at eight in this single elimination tournament. Although victory is in the lead for the players, some of them are simply happy that they can extend their season.
“It was difficult not to do the tournament, knowing that we have been there in the past three years, and it was a great experience,” said Boisse Power Tyson Degenhart’s Boisse striker.

Boisse State is one of the 16 schools playing during the inaugural year of the university basketball crown.
“I think it’s a good time for this tournament. There are not many other basketballs, academic basketball, Final Four is this weekend to come, but these games are when no one is on, so we are the only university basketball, and to have scouts of the NBA, there is great, just while waiting for my future and really excited,” said Denenhart.

More than anything, this tournament gives teams another blow to extend their season.
“We are trying to milked the season, to keep these guys as long as we can, because this team loves each other, likes to play with each other, loves to practice it together. This is the driving force,” said Leon Rice, male basketball coach.

This feeling is also taken up by other teams.
“We are very happy to continue with our season and to compete for a championship. You do not really get these chances in life very often. We were very lucky. We did not have a player who entered the portal at this time. We will see what is happening after this season, but I think that it is talking about the character of our guys, that they want to continue and play together,” said the Basket-Ball coach.

The tournament also invited representatives of the big leagues to examine all talents on the ground.
“I think this is a really cool opportunity every time you go out and compete in front of people, and people who make decisions for the next level, so it is important that our group is taking advantage of it and is the best as possible,” said Nebraska Guard attacker, Cale Jacobsen.
Seniors represent almost half of the lists for some of these schools, which means that, for some teams, this tournament is the last time they will all play together.

“You know, these last two weeks preparing, it’s a lot of time not playing a game, but it didn’t seem monotonous with our group just because everyone likes to be in the gymnasium and be together. We are just playing for each other so that we can continue to be together,” said Jacobsen.
