An Israeli air strike destroyed a three -story house on Saturday in Gaza City, killing 10 people – half of them – while Arab mediators rushed to restart a ceasefire.
Israeli strikes have killed at least 49 people in the last 24 hours, according to health officials.
The deaths of the air strike early in the morning in a district of the west of the city of Gaza included three women and five children, according to Shifa hospital, which received the bodies.
The Israeli army said that it had struck a Hamas activist and that the structure he operated was collapsed, adding that the collapse was being revised.
“There is no one of the resistance among them,” said Saed al-Khour, who lost his family on strike. “For the past 13 hours until now, we are removing the remains of children, women and the elderly.” He stood in the middle of the rubble, under an inclined ceiling.
Professor Adi Benun says that “everything is destroyed” in the perimeter which, according to the report, according to silence, is created between Gaza and Israel.
Three other people were killed in the SHATI refugee camp along the Gaza City coast.
Hamas said on Saturday that he had sent a high -level delegation to Cairo to try to get the ceasefire – broken last month by Israeli bombing – back on the right track.
Israel has promised to continue the war until all the hostages have returned and Hamas is destroyed or disarmed and sent into exile. He indicates that he will indefinitely hold parties of Gaza and implement the proposal of American president Donald Trump for the resettlement of the population in other countries, which has been largely rejected internationally.
Hamas said that he would only release the dozens of hostages which he has in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, a complete Israeli withdrawal and a lasting ceasefire, as provided for in the now final agreement in January.
An Israeli air strike destroyed part of the Arab hospital in Al-Ahli, the last fully functional hospital in Gaza City. Witnesses said the strike had destroyed the hospital’s intensive care service.
Hamas said that its delegation will discuss with Egyptian officials from the group’s vision to end the war, which also includes reconstruction.
Earlier this week, other Hamas officials arrived in Cairo to discuss a proposal that would include a truce of five to seven years and the release of all remaining hostages, officials said.
Egypt and Qatar develop the proposal, which would include the gradual withdrawal of the Israeli forces from Gaza and the release of Palestinian prisoners, according to an Egyptian official and a Hamas official who spoke under the cover of anonymity because they were not authorized to inform the media.
The Israeli blockade continues
Israel continued its blockade almost two months of Gaza, even if the aid groups warn that supplies decrease.
On Friday, the United Nations World Food of the United Nations program said that its food actions in Gaza had exhausted, ending a main source of subsistence for hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. He said the dozens of charities he supports should lack food in the coming days.
According to the UN, around 80% of the Gaza population is mainly based on charities for food, because other sources have closed under the blockade of Israel, according to the UN.
Almost a month after Israel has imposed a complete blockade on the goods entering Gaza, families fast for the sacred month of Ramadan, say that finding food was a fight in the midst of supplies and arrow prices.
“Meanwhile, nearly 3,000 UNRWA trucks for rescue help are ready to enter Gaza,” said the United Nations Agency for Palestinian refugees on social networks. “The seat must stop.”
Hamas called on the Trump administration on Saturday to immediately overthrow its decision that the United Nations Agency for Palestinian refugees is not immune to the pursuit, calling this a dangerous stage of the nearby ally of Israel.
The offensive of Israel killed more than 51,000 Palestinians, mainly women and children, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. Israel says he killed around 20,000 activists, without providing evidence.
The war began when activists led by Hamas stormed southern Israel on October 7, 2023, killing around 1,200 people and bringing 251 to Gaza, according to Israeli accounts. Activists still have 59 hostages, 24 which would be alive, after most of the others have been released in cease-fire agreements or other agreements.
