Whether it is adding better loot, unlocking new mechanisms or making space that is worth reviewing, the upgrade is the key to survive and prosper, in this strange puzzle box of a game.

How to improve your rooms in Blue Prince
Improvements of the floor plan are permanent improvements that you can apply to the mansion rooms. Once you have upgraded a room, it remains upgraded in all your future shopping. This means that you slowly build a better version of the field every time you play. Here is what you need to do:
- Find an upgrade disc – The upgrade discs are rare and collecting collection items that you meet when you explore the manor. They are not always easy to find, so if you get one – hang on. You never know when the possibility of upgrading will appear.
- Terminal – Once you have a disc, go to any terminal. These are computers located in certain rooms such as the safety room or the shelter room – generally accessible at the start of your race.
- Use the disk – At the terminal, insert the upgrade disc. The system will then choose a random piece from those you have already visited. You will not be able to control which part is upgraded, but you can choose how to upgrade it.
The terminal will offer you three different upgrade options. Choose the one suitable for your style or seems interesting, and confirm your choice. This part is now permanently improved and will always seem improved in future cycles.

Once a room is improved, it stays so. Whenever you enter into future executions, it will be improved – with more loot, more features and a handful of reasons to go back. Consider it as leaving a small brand on the mansion every time you play.
The Blue Prince upgrade system is a small sneaky layer of progression that rewards curiosity and persistence. It is not only a question of reaching room 46, it is a question of reshaping the manor in something which seems personal.
