Kylian Mbappe faces a race against time to prove his physical form before the final of the Copa del Rey against Barcelona on April 26.
The French international has drink 2-1 defeat of the Champions League from last night at home against Arsenal with a sweet sprain of the ankle, but he is considered to be serious enough to place his participation against Barça in doubt.
Here we examine the Madrid calendar and identify the games that Mbappe can, or not, play:
Real Madrid V Athletic Bilbao – La Liga, April 20
Madrid will seek to overcome their European disappointment when Bilbao Athletic will visit the Bernabeu on Sunday. Mbappe will not play, however, because he will have a ban on a match for his red card in Alaves last weekend.
The former Paris Saint-Germain star was sent seven minutes before half-time after a challenge for nails on the Alaves midfielder Antonio Blanco, in a match, Madrid won 1-0.
The duration of the sanction caused controversy with most of the experts thinking that he should have justified a prohibition of three games that would have excluded him from the COPA final.
Vice-president of Barça, Rafael Yuste, said that “the tackle and the sanction were absurd”.
Getafe V Real Madrid – La Liga, April 23
Madrid runs out to Getafe next Wednesday in a match that Mbappe will appear for little account given that he will be offered for each occasion to prove his ability to the following weekend mission.
Carlo Ancelotti’s team will not lose sight of the fact that they are always in the middle of a defending battle, and will always be as strong as possible at the Estadio Coliseum.

Real Madrid against Barcelona – Copa del Rey Final, April 26
Given the release of Madrid from Europe, this game takes on an additional importance.
Even a victory is unlikely to save the work of Ancelotti – it is likely to leave at the end of the season – but it would be another trophy to add to the transport and, above all, to prove to the Madridistas that their team can live with a Barça team which won the two meetings this season with ease.
If it is in good shape, Mbappe will play, although this will not necessarily solve the attack problems of Madrid, a point underlined by Thibaut Courtois the day after the Arsenal game.
He is a man for the great occasion, as his tripled in the World Cup final shows in 2022, and Mbappe hopes to help his team succeed in Seville.
