Real Madrid has published a statement confirming their participation in the final of the Copa del Rey of this weekend against Barcelona, ending the speculation that they could boycott the match.
The club has been involved in controversy in the past 24 hours after a dramatic fallout with the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) concerning officials appointed for the Seville final.
The tensions escaped when Real Madrid officially opposed the selection of Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea as an arbitrator and Pablo González Fuertes as an official Var.
Their concerns were focused on the previous criticism of Gonzalez Fuertes of the referees of Real Madrid TV, which often examines official decisions in detail before high -level devices.
Bengoetxea, on the other hand, was reduced to tears during a recent press conference due to the pressure exerted by Los Blancos.
As the tensions intensified, the club has canceled both its planned training session and its press conference. They also demanded a last minute change in officiating appointments.
New official declaration.

Relevant said the club even planned to withdraw entirely from the final unless their concerns are responded.
In another stage of the club’s demonstration, President Florentino Perez announced that he would not attend the usual pre-match dinner with those responsible for Barcelona.
The impasse has sparked fears that Real Madrid could face disciplinary measures from the RFEF, including the possibility of being replaced in the final by Real Sociedad.
However, these concerns were appeased late when the club officially confirmed its participation in the final and denied any complaint they had threatened to withdraw.
The press release said: “In the light of rumors that have arisen in recent hours, Real Madrid Cf communicates that our team has never considered refusing to play the final of tomorrow.
“Our club understands that the unhappy and inappropriate statements of the referees appointed for this match, made 24 hours before the final, cannot tarnish a sports event of global importance which will be monitored by hundreds of millions of people and also out of respect for all fans who plan to travel to Seville, and for all those who are already out of respect for all fans who plan to travel to Seville, and for all those who are already Andalsise.
“Real Madrid understands that the values of football must prevail, despite the hostility and animosity that have been shown again today against our club, by the referees appointed for the final.”
