Carlo Ancelotti rejected suggestions that he had lost the love of Real Madrid and his fans, but admitted that the club may need a new momentum.
The Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) announced yesterday that Encelotti would take over as a head coach of the national team on May 26, shortly after the last match of the Madrid season and before the club World Cup this summer.
This ends the second Italian spell in Madrid and he will leave after having led the club to 15 trophies in total, including two ligas and three titles of the Champions League.
This season was a great disappointment, however – the defeat of Clasico from 4-3 Sunday in Barcelona, which means that Madrid is unlikely to keep his national crown while the quarter -final defeat against Arsenal ended her defense of the Champions League.

Ancelotti confident that his heritage of Real Madrid will live
Despite this, Ancelotti thinks that fans will affectionately examine his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.
He said, “I never felt that Madrid did not love me. Madrid loves me. It has always shown me affection.
“I couldn’t be the Madrid coach all my life. It ends for many reasons.
“The club may need a new momentum. I don’t make a drama. Thank you very much to this club, I will be from Madrid all my life. It is a period that ends. Spectacular. I never thought I could train Madrid for six years and it’s over. ”
The Ancelotti contract should not expire before the summer of 2026, but the two parties seem happy to have advanced his 12 -month departure.
“Football, as in life, has adventures that start and end,” he added. “I always knew that one day, it would end. A very good period is over. I had a good time. But as in all things in life, there is a moment like that.
“I had a good time and I want to end it. On the 26th, I will talk about another challenge.
“I have never had a problem with the club and I will never have one. It is a club that I have in my heart and I also have it in my heart when this adventure is over, with a fantastic memory that will remain with me for life. ”
No words on Brazil until Madrid Adventure is finished
The numerous Brazilian journalists of this morning press conference were impatient by Quiz Ancelotti about his plans with the Selecao, but the former AC Milan defender refused to be ahead of himself.
“Since the 26th, I will be a coach of Brazil,” he said. “This is an important challenge, but I’m still the Madrid coach. I want to finish this period.
“I know that you will be interested in what I do, but I have to think about the days when I am left here. Due to the respect I have for this club and these fans, I focus on this last expanse of this spectacular adventure.”
No problem with Madrid’s lack of declaration – Ancelotti
Although the CBF published its statement yesterday, Madrid has not yet commented on the imminent departure of Ancelotti.
When asked if he knew why, the 65 -year -old said: “Madrid will have the declaration published when they wish. There is no problem. I don’t know when they do. They will do it when they consider appropriate. Nothing to add.”
Madrid welcomes the real Mallorca tomorrow in what will be the penultimate Ancelotti game in charge of the Bernabeu.
Xabi Alonso will replace him for next season, but Ancelotti said he had no specific words of wisdom for the boss of Bayer Leverkusen.
“I have no advice,” he said, “because he has all the tools to be an excellent coach in the future.”
