Arne Slot said he was satisfied with what he had seen from his Liverpool players when the Reds missed the winners 1-0 against Everton to extend their lead to the top of the first League at 12 points.
Diogo Jota struck shortly after half-time in front of a typically noisy Anfield crowd to give Slot Slot the victory and put an end to the undefeated race of the Toffees to nine games.
Beto excluded a goal in the first half for offside, while the team of David Moyes may have had the chance to finish the match with eleven players after the follow-up of James Tarkowski on Alexis Mac Allister.

The result extends the undefeated race of the Premier League of Liverpool to 26 games and makes them pass at less than 13 points of the title with eight games to play. And Slot was satisfied with the projection on his side.
“I liked what we did a lot more than in the outside match, where we scored two goals [in a 2-2 draw] But we barely created anything, ”said Slot.
“Today, we were almost constantly in their last third, but it is still difficult to score due to the number of players they bring around their 18 yards and the way they can defend.
“We faced a team that has not lost nine games in a row. So we knew, apart from the fact that it was the Merseyside derby, we faced a very strong team, especially defensively.”
Slot was also asked about his point of view on the Tarkowski challenge, but the boss of Liverpool was not in a mood to go through the debate.
“So many people have given their opinion on this subject, and even people who are not in favor of Liverpool,” said Slot.
“They were so clear in their comments that it is not necessary for me to say something else about it.
“It was so clear that I didn’t need to comment.”
Liverpool is the next in action when they go to Fulham on Sunday.
