Like almost all keyboards today, the Apex Pro Mini has several layers of noise movies inside the case. This includes a layer of dense foam between the plate and the PCB, a layer of secondary foam under the PCB and a thick piece of silicone filling the bottom of the case. Peel the silicone reveals two internal steel weights, which are used to make the keyboard denser, while preventing to slide on your desk, which is generally not done on a keyboard with a plastic case. However, these weights and silicone damping constitute a large part of the weight of the keyboard, leaving it light and insignificant when they are removed.
Instead of being maintained with standard Phillips screws, the Apex Pro Mini uses a T6 torx bolt. This makes dismantling slightly more difficult for the average buyer, but the T6 screwdrivers are inexpensive and commonplace. Once these screws are removed, the PCB itself uses the standard Pok3R / GH60 assembly points, which means the majority of cases of 60% tray (such as the Tofu60) are compatible with him.
In the end, the Apex Pro Mini Pro is a good keyboard. It is good to type, works well for the game and has an acceptable quality of construction with some strange details. It is difficult to justify the price of $ 220. Both Shake And Keychron have hall keyboards with comparable features, a similar quality of construction and better software that can run a browser.

For $ 80 less, Keychron offers hall keyboards like K2 who has practically identical performances, the same assembly mounted on the set and wireless connectivity. Or for $ 20 more than the Apex Pro Mini, the Keychron Q1 that it has all these features plus aluminum construction and a joint assembly, which both make the shot experience much more pleasant.
However, only the Wooting 60he and Steelseries Apex Pro Mini have a real provision of 60%. While the Apex Pro Mini has smoother switches and features such as Miss input protection, the 60he has a higher 8K survey rate, much better software and is available for $ 175 with otherwise comparable specifications and performance. I don’t think the money is well spent on the mini pro apex. If you really like your appearance, try to wait for a sale.
