India said it had made “precision strikes” on “terrorist infrastructure” on nine sites in Pakistan, describing attacks as “focused, measured and not climbed”.
Tensions between the two nuclear weapons neighbors have increased since last month, when New Delhi accused Islamabad for an attack by cashmere activists administered by the Indians who killed 26 people.
Although the Ministry of Defense of India did not specify the locations of strikes in Pakistan which took place early Wednesday morning, he said that he “struck terrorist infrastructure”.
The ministry added that “no Pakistani military installation has been targeted”, saying that “India has demonstrated considerable reservoir in the selection of targets and the method of execution”.
Pakistan previously denied any involvement in the Kashmir attack last month.
But the two countries have downgraded diplomatic relations since murders, and India has suspended participation in a keywater sharing treaty.
