Carry1st, the African mobile game publisher, announced the return of its flagship tournament Call of Duty: Mobile Tournament as part of the Carry1st Africa Cup 2025.
With more than 200 teams and more than 1,000 players, this year’s tournament should be the biggest and most competitive to date. In a historic decision for African Esports, the 1st Africa transport cup has also been officially recognized by Activision as a qualification tournament for the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2025.

Based on the success of last year’s event, which presented teams of five African regions, the 2025 edition will include players from seven African regions: Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, North Africa (Egypt and Morocco), Kenya, Uganda and West Francophone (Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal). As part of Carry1st’s continuous commitment to inclusiveness for players across Africa, a special generic niche was also presented to qualifications. This generic character will allow African teams in countries outside the seven primary qualification regions, such as Mauritius and Tunisia, to enter, guaranteeing the possibility of Pan -African representation on the world scene.

How to enter
Registration opens on Saturday May 3 via the Africa Cup of Carry1st website. The closing dates vary according to the qualification region; Please see the website for more details.
The teams must be made up of a minimum of five starting players and a substitute. The competition hosts both amateur and professional players, provided that participants are residents of the country they represent in qualifying. The regional qualification stages will take place from May to July, culminating in the LAN finals in Lagos, Nigeria. Carry1st will also support travel arrangements for qualifying teams, ensuring that all teams can attend the final.
