A father from Washington’s state is pressure to obtain answers on the death survey of his 18 -year -old daughter’s campus in a University in California earlier this year.
Liz Hamel, 18, was found unconscious in front of a dormitory on the campus of the University of California Santa Barbara on February 14 after apparently dropping a bridge. She died a few days later.
But what happened before his death remains a mystery.
“In the past few months, we have been informed by UC Santa Barbara PD, and they have been very kind to us. They have been … Empathic. But, of course, as it is an investigation in progress, they cannot give us a lot of details,” said Alain Hamel, Liz’s father.

Hamel, who lives in Seattle, told Fox News that his family had contacted the community this week for helping to find a man who was with her daughter the night she fell. Within 24 hours, university police were able to speak to the person of interest.
“I think it had an incredible success. … I can’t say enough for Santa Barbara. It was so fast. They really helped us advance the investigation,” said Hamel. “I’m not the police. I am outside, but it seems that they really advanced it.”
“A person who has been identified in relation to the incident of our residence was located and interviewed,” said UC Santa Barbara in a statement. “The investigation is still underway, and we cannot discuss additional details at the moment. UCPD holds the informed family and works in close collaboration with (the) Office of the Santa Barbara District Prosecutor.

“The UCPD is determined to continue its complete investigation to seek responses related to this tragic event and works in close collaboration with the District Prosecutor’s Office and the Sheriff Office from the early stadiums of the investigation.”
Hamel said he didn’t know the man who was with his daughter and his daughter’s friends either. He is not suspect in his death.
Hamel said, as far as he knows, they met in a noodle bar that night, “And they hit, and it was Valentine’s Day. So, I think it could have had something to do with that. And, yes, they were photographed together only from a certain angle.

“She was great,” said Hamel about her daughter Liz. “She was our world. It is our only child. And she was everything for us. She was a real joy. And, you know, we were so lucky to be 18 years old with her. We want to have more time.” (Alain Hamel)
