Manchester United fans have given more accounts on the skills of the 17 -year -old striker, Chido Obi, who has appeared in four first team games since last month.
Obi arrived from Arsenal in September with a huge reputation for young people for his prolific scorer. United experienced this with 12 goals in nine matches through the Premier League under 18 and the FA Youth Cup.
He was promoted to the team under 21 in January, before joining the senior team in February.
During this international break, Obi played his first two games for the Team of Denmark under the age of 21, appearing as a substitute for friendly matches against Poland and Italy – both ending with prints.
Obi has up to five years younger than some of his teammates and those he faced, but still managed to impress the coach Steffen Hojer.
“He is a very young man. He was there to learn, and we did it with us to assess him,” said Hojer Tipsbladet. “He made a good impression, and I was extremely happy to see how he adapted to the team and how the boys welcomed him.
“He made a very good trip and was well. Now, it’s back home to continue working at Manchester United and see if there can be a little more playing time.”
Discussing OBI’s particular capacities as an attacker, Hojer refers to a clinical sequence and a position of position.
“What you hope with a player like him is that he is lucky because his absolute key strength is to be in the box and put the ball in the net,” said the coach.
“This chance did not come. But he came and worked with the team in a difficult situation, so you couldn’t really expect him.”
