Ruud Van Nistelrooy says it was as usual for Jamie Vardy this week while he is preparing to play his last match for Leicester City on Sunday.
The former English international will make his 500th and last appearance for the Foxes when they welcome Ipswich in a confrontation between two teams that will play in the championship next season after relegation.
Vardy has already underlined his intention to play after leaving Leicester but aims to bow to a summit by scoring his 200th goal for the club.
When asked if he had noticed something different about Vardy this week, Van Nistelrooy said: “Nothing. He is preparing to win the match on Sunday, that’s what he does.
“He was so good in so many years because of this state of mind, he was not embarrassed by criticism or praise, he thinks of playing. There is nothing different in the way he is in the place.
“Of course, he will head the team on Sunday.
“It is important to prepare the match as I always do. Today and tomorrow is important. Prepare the team as best as possible as staff so that the team can play as well as possible, it is the most important thing I can do and the rest is up to it and it will be ready for it. ”
On the inheritance of Vardy 📜
“When you play 500 games, nearly 200 goals, that said everything. During his 13 seasons in this club and the trophies, the individual prices, he won, it is the total package of one of the biggest.” pic.twitter.com/eirecs2kot

Day of events planned to say goodbye to Vardy
Vardy will not play in the last match of the Leicester season in Bournemouth, the club while enjoying goodbye to make their farewell to someone they describe as their greatest player ever with a day of special events on Sunday.
The 38 -year -old man played a key role in the remarkable success of the 2016 Premier League title of Leicester, but Van Nistelrooy says that it is only a moment to think in a career that really exploded only after having moved to the East Midlands.
The Dutchman added: “When you see the number of times a player performs at the highest level, it is the greatest success.
“When you have played 13 seasons at this level, going up to 500 games, 200 goals, that said everything. The standards you have set for yourself, you live your life around football and how you play.
“Then you look at the trophies he won, individual achievements. This is the total package for one of the best. ”
Vardy hoping to stay in the Premier League
It is unlikely that Vardy is running out for next season and would be impatient to stay in the elite.
And Van Nistelrooy confirmed that the former Fleetwood and Halifax will continue to play.
“I think that in the conversations we have had [retirement] It was not a subject, “he said.” I recognize from the moment I played at a higher age that you focus on performance and I also recognize it by Jamie.
“He does not focus on the future after football. It will be his last match for Leicester City, but he wants to continue playing. In this sense, he is determined to play and play. This is what I felt with him.”
